Whether you drive a car, ride the bus, walk or ride a bike, the $2.67 billion RTA Next plan will deliver transportation enhancements to get you where you’re going faster, easier and more affordably.
The Regional Transportation Authority’s new plan and half-cent sales tax to fund it, if approved by voters next March, will provide mobility and connectivity options across the greater Tucson region, including:

  • New or enhanced roadways to help you reach your destinations
  • New turn lanes in intersections to reduce congestion
  • Continued evening and weekend transit services to access jobs and school
  • Continued neighborhood shuttles in outlying areas to connect to transit routes
  • New bus pullouts to improve traffic flow safety
  • Traffic signal technology upgrades to reduce time sitting in traffic
  • More biking and walking options for healthy mobility choices
  • New wildlife structural linkages to prevent animal-vehicle collisions
